    Easy to use

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Mar 2015

We keep it at the birth center so that it doesn't travel and loose calibration from frequent travel since we do so many home visits. We are exceptionally pleased with the results. It is easy to use and most all of our babies are able to receive the requirements of a pulse oximeter screen in the post partum as required. It is very easy to use and the instructions are easy to understand.

    Very Pleased

Posted by Sandra Tallbear on 9th Oct 2014

Be prepared to read the instructions, but, after putting it all together and trialing it on several newborns I am quite pleased with the results. It comes with a booklet/chart that explains "the display" parameters. We found that the permanent cable works well with the soft blue wraps. In fact the wrap is necessary to obtain a reading, thus we only have to clean the probe between baby's and then use a new wrap. We found that purchasing the $25.00 disposable cables was not necessary, however the disposable probes work best for an infant that may be older/ larger i.e. 12 lbs or more. You will want to have a few disposables around for those large home born babies!! We are generally able to complete testing in about 5 minutes because the machine requires about a 60 secound warm up/calibration and it may depend on probe placement and infant motion. All in all it was worth the investment for our babies.
