Cord Bander Instrument with 25 Cord Bands & zipper case

Cord Bander with Cord Bands

  • Packet of 25 latex bands. Available separately here.

Review from midwife who sampled this for us:

"I plan to use it for all my births. Loved it.

It was easy and the cord band flipped over to a good place and not too close to the baby’s skin which is critical for me.  Some times the other cord bands with tails slip down too close to the baby’s skin.  These bands seemed smaller and better compared to the ones with the tail that I previously use a Hemostat to put on."

Cleaning

For proper cleaning and sterilization of this item, we recommend the following procedure:

  1. Cleaning: After each use, rinse the bander with warm water to remove any debris. Use a mild detergent and a soft brush to clean all surfaces thoroughly. Avoid using abrasive materials that may scratch the surface.
  2. Disinfection: After cleaning, immerse or wipe down the instruments with a suitable disinfectant approved for stainless steel instruments. Rinse with distilled water afterward to avoid residue build-up.
  3. Drying and Storage: Completely dry the instruments with a lint-free cloth to prevent water spots or corrosion. Store in a dry, clean environment, ideally in a protective case or container (the bander comes in a soft zipper case).

Regarding the steel quality, the bander is made from medical-grade stainless steel (typically 410 or 420 series), which is designed for durability and resistance to corrosion under proper maintenance. With routine care as outlined above, they should last for a significant period under normal usage conditions.
