Birth Pool in a Box - PROFESSIONAL POOL

The Professional Birth Pool in a Box model is designed for reuse by midwives, birth centers, hospitals and in other situations requiring a more durable tub that can withstand repeated use.

The .55mm heavy plastic material provides extra strength and protection over the personal version. This extra thickness on the bottom of the pool helps to prevent leaks and drips on the floor. The added thickness also offers a layer of padding on the bottom which makes it more comfortable for clients.

These tubs are designed for use with a disposable liner that provides a safe and sanitary method for reusing the tubs.  Disposable liners are not only hygienic and may be required for meeting infection control standards. The professional pool does not include a liner.

WARRANTY

The Birth Pool in a Box Professional pool is guaranteed for at least 40 set-ups  and uses or 4 years of use with properly handling and the use of the Birth Pool in a Box custom liner during each use.

Each pool comes with clear and simple instructions for set up, cleaning and storage.

CARRYING CASE

Each Professional pool also comes with a black custom carrying case with the following features:

  • Two large straps for carrying the pool like a backpack.
  • Thermal insulation to slow down the cooling of the pool in lower temperatures, e.g outside in winter.
  • Compression straps to prevent pool expansion after folding;
  • A liner pocket
  • Folding instructions on inside of top lid
  • Small top carrying handle for when you don't want to carry it as a backpack.

ACCESSORIES

Here are some other items you may want to purchase with this pool:

The warranty on all Birth Pool in a Box pools is valid only if a new Birth Pool in a Box liner is used each time.  The 40 use/4 year manufacturer warranty on Birth Pool in a Box Pro Pools is valid only if a Birth Pool in a Box liner is used each time.

Birth Pool in a Box does not recommend using any generic liner on their Birth Pools - it will not give a secure, tight, custom fit and may not be watertight, undermining the integrity of the Birth Pool in a Box system. To ensure the highest quality water birth experience, Birth Pool in a Box recommends you order the Regular or Mini custom Birth Pool in a Box Liner.

    PEACE OF MIND

Posted by Unknown on 24th Feb 2017

After sitting in other inflatable pool options, I knew this was the only pool for my daughter's birth! The sturdiness was incomparable to the other inflatable pools, and the cushion was a perfect escape from the hardness of a built-in tub. I was impressed with the quality of this pool including its 6 useful handles. With all the worries of birth floating in my head, pool choice was not one of them.

The Backpack Carrying Case Is the bomb!

Posted by Jennifer on 17th Dec 2016

After using every tub on the market in my home birth midwifery practice, this is my favorite tub. I have been using this tub for about 8 months now and it is by far the best tub all around!
I love the size of the tub- it is just right for most home hot water heaters without over taxing the hot water. It fits well in most homes I go into without being so large its in the way. I am short at 5' 4" and I can reach into this pool easily and reach the baby without difficulty. Its deep enough and roomy enough for most women.

The carrying case on this tub is much improved over the previous BPIIAB tubs. It is thicker, padded, and has well made padded back pack straps that actually work for using as a back pack. This makes it so much easier to carry the pool in and out of homes this way.

The only tub I will use!

Posted by Hullo Baby Midwifery on 26th Apr 2015

Previously I had used a different brand of tub, but for my last birth I borrowed a BPIAB from another midwife. I loved it, and I had to get my own! I will never go back to using another kind. You can really tell what good quality material it is and I was so pleased with the durability. I look forward to using this tub over and over for many births to come!
